My little girl is hungry all day so I looked up lactation brownie recipes and they were all made with loads of sugar or from a cheap brownie mix. Seems kinda counterproductive? I made a somewhat healthier version, recipe below. Just remove the Brewers yeast for regular non-lactation brownies as well!

1 c. coconut sugar
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/2 c. flour (I use Pamela’s Gluten Free)
1/2 t. baking powder
2-3 T. brewer's yeast
1/2 c. melted butter
1-2 eggs, depending on how cake-like you want your brownies
1 t. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all wet ingredients together, and in a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients together.

Grease or line an 8X8 pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Allow to cool before frosting (recipe below) Keep refrigerated.

1/2 c. canned coconut milk
2 T. cashew butter
1/4 c. dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 T. coconut oil

In a sauce pan, combine all ingredients over medium heat. Mix until melted and smooth.

Poke holes in the brownies and pour all over. Refrigerate until hard.
